Citizen Volunteer Opportunities

There are a number of Municipal Boards and Committees to which Muncie’s City Council appoints members.

Muncie’s greatest strength is its people, and there are many citizens in this community who wish to serve. We should do a much better job of informing the public of vacancies to those boards, and develop an online resource where citizens can see the opportunities available and volunteer to serve.

If elected, I also promise that I will only support the most qualified candidates for these positions, regardless of their politics, family connections, or other concerns. By putting the best people available in the most well-suited positions is how we move Muncie forward.
